In the third quarter of 2024, the dining and restaurant app landscape in Oceania saw diverse trends across the top five applications, as highlighted by Sensor Tower data. These insights provide a snapshot of user engagement and app popularity on a unified platform encompassing both iOS and Android.

MyMacca's from McDonald’s Australia Limited experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, particularly in early September, reaching over 100K downloads per week. This spike was mirrored in its weekly active users, which climbed steadily from approximately 800K in early July to over 1M by the end of September.

KFC - Order On The Go, developed by KFC Australia, showed a peak in downloads at the beginning of the quarter with over 51K downloads. However, a gradual decline followed, stabilizing around 25K by the end of September. Active users for the app were relatively stable, maintaining approximately 300K throughout the quarter.

Hungry Jack’s Deals & Ordering saw a notable increase in downloads in August, peaking at nearly 37K. This trend was accompanied by a rise in active users, which reached over 200K in early August before tapering off slightly towards the end of the quarter.

Guzman y Gomez (GYG) Mexican witnessed a steady increase in downloads early in the quarter, hitting a high of approximately 28K in late July. Its active user base also grew, peaking at over 54K users in the same period before settling around 47K by the end of September.

Finally, pub+ showed a dramatic increase in weekly downloads in early August, skyrocketing to over 43K, a significant jump from its earlier figures. This surge was not reflected in active user data, which was not available for this period.
